MUSEUM OF AFRICA DIASPORA

The Museum of the African Diaspora (MOAD) is a museum in San Francisco, California, documenting the history, art, and culture of the African diaspora. A diaspora is the dispersion of any people from their original homeland.

A pitch was made for an augmented reality app to help promote the museum and its studies . The app provided a walking tour where the user can walk through neighborhoods to explore how the diaspora has taken place.

While on the tour, the app can show key points of interest and landmarks. The user can point the phone’s camera on the diaspora landmarks, providing historic pictures as well as detailed information.
